About Us

Dan and Ryan first met in second grade in Mrs. Manero's class. Having just moved from Japan only two years prior, Ryan didn't speak English very well and had difficulties making friends. Although our initial confrontration was awkward, we developed a friendship that have lasted for over a decade and stood the test of time.

about

We both ended up becoming geeks, each in our different way; and launched this website during the summer of 2008 to let the world know what goes on in our twisted minds. We've picked up a lot of technical knowledge over the years and are starting to work on various projects that we would like to share with other people.

This website is Ryan's creation and is powered by a Debian server and built with Apache, Django, PostgreSQL and lots of love. It was designed with simplicity in mind.

About Ryan

Ryan Coyner is an undergraduate Computer Science major in his junior year at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. He has been using Linux since his junior year in high school and currently runs Arch Linux as his primary distribution after years of using Debian. He has programmed in a lot of programming languages such as C, Java, JavaScript, Perl, PHP, Python, Ruby and is fluent in most of them. Although Ryan tends to specialize in web development and security, he is also very interested and spends a lot of time learning about algorithms and operating systems. Ryan is currently experimenting with lightweight web development using Python.

Outside of computer and school work, Ryan spends his free time exercising, socializing, and reading books. He also loves the outdoors and each year spends a portion of his summer backpacking and hiking with his family and friends.

About Dan

Currently in his junior year as a history major at Williams College, Dan likes to spend his free time working with Flash, Photoshop, and Blender on whatever project tickles his fancy at the moment.
